These Teens Just Changed Sex For Everyone
Three teen boys from the U.K. just made a huge revolution to the condom industry. The young virgins submitted their project to the TeenTech Awards, where they researched the possibility of a condom that turned luminescent, or changed color, when it came into contact with various STDs. If that isn’t awesome enough, two of these teens are only in their early teens, 14 and 13 years old.
The boy’s sexual curiosity has won them the top prize at the TeenTech Awards in the healthcare category. This award gave them $1500 and a chance to meet Prince Andrew at Buckingham Palace. Good thing it isn’t the Queen, that conversation would get a little awkward.
The idea is to have a condom that would turn luminescent when the antibodies on the condom react with antigens of an STD. Think of it this way, if you are hooking up with a guy that has herpes, you will be able to tell because the condom will turn a bright color like a glowing yellow. Someone infected with HPV would cause the condom to turn to a purple color, and so on.
Scary? Yes. Helpful? HECK YES!!!
The idea is still a concept at the moment. But with an idea as great as this, several established condom companies have already approached the teens to get the idea moving forward.
This is defiantly something to be excited about. Not only will it help keep you healthy, it is finally a glow-in-the-dark condom we can actually justify using.
